Leagues

The T-Ball league is provided to give 5-6 year olds the opportunity to play in their first sports setting on a real ballfield. Hopefully, from this experience, they will begin to learn the values of sportsmanship, cooperation, and teamwork.
The success of the program depends on parent involvement. Each team needs at least four parent helpers to assist the parent head coach. During games, their job will be to help keep the team in the batting order and help with defensive positioning (very important). Also, a parent needs to organize a schedule of who will bring drinks/snacks to each game. MCCPRA thanks each parent for their time and contribution in helping make this a fun experience while learning to play the game.
1. Players must be 5 or 6 years old according to Sept. 1st age control date.
2. All players will bat in consecutive order throughout the entire game. An offensive inning consists of all the team batting.
3. Coaches will pitch to their players. Three (3) strikes on the batter and then batter must then hit from the tee.
4. All players are on the field for defense. Try to keep them spread out. On defense, parent coaches stay behind infield and outfield players. They keep players awake and encourage them to field and return hit balls as quickly as possible.
5. Start game on time. A game is two complete innings. Time limit will be 1 hour (or less). No official score will be kept. PLEASE be respectful of teams playing behind you.
